We have the honour of working in close collaboration with Mr. Spyros Pappas, attorney at law and member of the Athens and Brussels Bar Associations. He is the founder and managing partner of Pappas & Associates – Attorneys at Law, based in Brussels.
Mr. Pappas is Chairman of the Centre for Social Responsibility in the Digital Age (SRDA) and Chairman of ARGO, the Hellenic Network in Belgium.
He previously served as Director-General at the European Commission, where he led departments on Consumer Policy, Information and Culture, and Education and Culture.
His distinguished contributions to European law and integration have been recognized through numerous honours, including: First Prize of the Foundation for Administrative Law “Michel Stassinopoulos”, Officer in the Order of Merit of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg for advancing EU law and co-founding the European Centre of Judges and Lawyers, Medal of Honor from the European Institute (Lodz) for his role in Poland’s EU integration, Honorary Fellow, European College of Sport Science (Universities of Cologne and Jyväskylä), Honorary Member, Association of European Journalists (The Hague).
Mr. Pappas is also the author of numerous influential articles and books on EU law, governance, and policy. His works include books such as “Current Trends and Developments in the Case-Law of the Court of Justice of the European Communities” (EIPA, Vol. I–1993, Vol. II–1995) and “The Changing Roles of Parliaments in the European Union” (EIPA, 1995, co-edited with Prof. F. Laursen)
Together, we handle complex legal matters before the Court of Justice of the European Union, including preliminary reference procedures, infringement actions, and appeals, as well as cases before the European Court of Human Rights concerning violations of the European Convention on Human Rights.
